The Nippon Foundation VRS application is a cutting-edge Video Remote Interpreting platform for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, which allows instant, on-the-spot interpreting. A certified, live Japonese Sign Language interpreter will appear within thirty seconds, on average. Before use, businesses must register with the Nippon Foundation VRS to receive a log-in account/password. Deaf clients can request that companies they interact with (for example: hospitals, offices, schools, banks, etc.) register with Nippon Foundation VRS to better facilitate communication between Deaf and Hearing people.

The Nippon Foundation VRS application is free and enables the Nippon Foundation VRS customers to make instant Sign Language interpreted phone calls from their smartphone or tablet at home, at work or on the move while connected to 3G, 4G and Wi-Fi.
